MSNBC Think Howard Dean and Michael Steele Are The Same

From MSNBC.

"Is Steele to the RNC and the DC GOP establishment what Howard Dean was to the DNC and the DC Dem establishment?"

This has got to be the worst analysis I have seen from MSNBC. Howard Dean was DNC chairman for about 4 years from 2005-2009 that gave us our huge gains in the house and senate. He started the 50 state strategy that got dems active in almost every county in the United States. It was the establishment that wanted him to concentrate only on certain areas of the U.S. and he said no. They want to concentrate on everyone. And it worked!!

We would not have the huge number of Dem house members. We wouldn't have the 60 seat senate if it weren't for Howard Dean

They really screwed up that comparison.

Sightings of Howard Dean

Howard Dean, father of the 50 state strategy and lead architect as to why dems had so many pickups in 06 and 08, has been seen doing the rounds in DC for health care.

"Dr. Dean is reemerging as a major voice inside the Democratic Party -- playing an inside-outside game that’s might make him to health care what former Vice President Al Gore is to the environment."

Dean was a huge part of why dems have done so well and to see him ostracized over the past several months is frustrating. Dean did a great job and has not gotten the recongnition he deserves.

Why Doesn't Obama Like Howard Dean?

I have been wondering for quite some time why Obama hasn't shown any kind regards for the pioneer of the 50 state strategy that put the dems where they are now.

Back in '04-'05, I recall the battles between the Clintons and Dean about how the dem party should move forward. Clintons wanted surgical type efforts by focusing resources into a smaller number of areas trying to just beat the GOP. Dean fought them and, capatilizing on the discontent with the GOP/Bush, he started opening dem offices in the heart of GOP land all over the U.S. While it probably didn't yield huge results, it was the foundation of what Obama used to start his presidency.

There was also Dean's groundbreaking methods for raising online funds. While Dean's presidential ambitions did turn out as he liked, he did surprise a lot of people with his online money machine. The same machine Obama needed/used during his presidential campaign.

With knowing all that, my question is why doesn't Obama like Dean?

I've heard Rahm Emmanuel doesn't like him but I don't know more than that. How about you?
