Bush Admin Involved in Attorney Firings

The release of thousands of pages of testimony show that Bush white house players, such as Karl Rove and Harreit Meirs, did play a role in the firings of numerous attorneys. Why were they fired? Because the did not carry the GOP water. They weren't "loyal" repubs.

This only confirms what most everyone knew. Bush highjacked the government and the only people who could work there needed to pledge an oath to the repub party. If not, you are out.

This just goes to show, even to dems, that good government employees come from both sides of the political spectrum. Too much of any one thought or ideological side only leads to a poorly run government.

Sonia Sotomayor Sworn In

The newest memeber of the SCOTUS is Sonia Sotomayor. A highly qualified individual with years of experience who just so happens to be a latina female.

Also, did anyone else seem to notice that GOP Florida Sen Mel Martinez, a latino, was at the front row during the vile repub senate speeches spouting about the supposed Sonia racism. Also, did anyone notice that Mel's resignation came on the same day she was sworn in?

Kind of makes you wonder if the hate in the repub party turned off one of their senators?

Holder Closer To Investigation

AG Eric Holder is leaning closer to investigating the Bush era torture.

"Attorney General Eric Holder is reportedly getting closer to appointing an independent prosecutor to investigate torture under the Bush administration. That’s making some CIA employees nervous."

The problem. He's only looking into if the CIA crossed the lines during the torture and investigating if the torture was legal in the first place.

I guess any investigation is better than no investigation.
