Did Harry Reid Just Dodge A Bullit?

Wow, Harry Reid might have a couple of angels looking after him.

"...the Tea Party has qualified as a third party in Nevada and will have a candidate in the Senate race to battle for the seat held by Majority Leader Harry Reid."

The Tea Party candidate would suck many conservative votes that would have otherwise gone to the repub candidate. If Harry is cunning, which he is, he needs to be donating/diverting as much money to this guy as he can. It would be the only way he could possibly win.

The SC Heckler Vulnerable For Reelection

The South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson (R), who shouted "You Lie!" at Obama's speech, appears to be vulnerable for reelection.

"Rob Miller (D) edges Wilson, 44% to 43%, in a survey conducted Thursday night and Friday morning."

The thing is, I don't trust these things a year out. It is way too early to raise an eyebrow. It will take a couple more controversies before this can even be considered a toss up.

Dodd Not Doing Well

Dem Senator Chris Dodd is having major problems. Big enough to get him ousted in his reelection in 2010.  His poll numbers might get him to be asked to step aside.

"Devastating poll numbers this morning should increase the pressure on Sen. Christopher Dodd (D-CT) to consider retirement so a safe Democratic seat doesn't turn into a Republican one."

Schwarzenegger Is Out

Looks like Arnold's falling poll numbers have caught up with him. The unpopularity of the budget meltdown. The unpopularity with repubs because of his policies. The unpopularity with dems because, well, he's a repub. This has all led up to having no real option but to quit. That is what the Sacremento Bee is reporting.  He won't beat Feinstein or Boxer for senate. He won't get reelected as the gobernator. 

Does that mean he's done. No. I remember the ballot initiatives several years ago that crashed and burned and yet he came back to win a second term.
