Harry Reid Will Probably Lose in November

Reid's chances of winning in November are looking dimmer and dimmer. He is losing to all possible GOP competitors and he is well below 50% favorability.

It will also be a mid-term election. Which basically means that motivated voters show up. Up until now, it is the right that is motivated.

Also adding problems to the mix is his son is running for Governor. This duo only seems to be reminding the Nevada electorate of how much they are not into Reid name.

At the end of the day, I am on that upset about it. Reid is not a motivating leader. I feel almost as if he fell into the job back in 2006 and has never really been able to catch his breath. Everything seems to be calling for a larger person than who he is.

Olympia Snowe Votes For Health Care

Republican Senator Olympia Snowe really stood in the face of her party and recognized how big today's health care vote is by voting in favor of the Baucus bill. She was also heavily courted by Obama to vote for the bill. Why? From what I have been reading, it will hopefully cause conservative dem senators to vote for it as well. Meaning, this will probably be the backbone of the main bill that makes it to Obama's desk.

Some of Olympia's quotes:

"When history calls, history calls."

but: "My vote today, is my vote today. It doesn't forecast what it will be tomorrow."

So will she be in the final floor vote? Probably not.

Nevada GOP Senator John Ensign Admitted to Having an Affair

Things still are going well for the repubs. It seems that the repub senator from Nevada has admitted to having an affair with a married female staffer.

Ensign is quoted as saying "I deeply regret and am very sorry for my actions," at his quickly arranged press conference. So quickly arranged, he missed an important vote in DC.

What makes someone call a press conference this quickly. Someone found out and was going to tell the world.

Here's the catch. This man called on Clinton to resign during the Lewinski affair. From Think Progress

“I came to that conclusion recently, and frankly it’s because of what he put his whole Cabinet through and what he has put the country through,” Ensign said Thursday, becoming the first member of the Nevada delegation to call for Clinton to quit. “He has no credibility left.”

So, does that mean he's going to resign?
